Session #2: “Specialty Roofing Material” (Metal, EPDM, TPO, Membranes)

We have our own Stacey Van Houtan  as our speaker for this session.  For those of you that don’t know Stacey,  before  he became a home inspector and remodeler  … He was the Director of Building Services for the Midwest YMCA AND the VP of Construction for the Hollywood Video Group on the west coast. He has also been the Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau’s  Expert Witness in the KC area settling disputes between roofer and homeowners.

Stacey has been a speaker on Commercial Type Roofing for InterNACHI, ASHI and NAHI at their Annual Educational Seminars.around the country. He has also been an Expert Witness on roofing issues in the Kansas City area in various court cases.

Stacey will discuss many of the varied specialty roofing products we could see doing a home OR light commercial inspection ( like EPDM, Standing Seam Metal, Modified Bitumen,  and the Membranes). This is a great class to increase or to refresh your knowledge about inspecting roofs, flashing, ventilation, proper installation methods, how to meet the minimum inspection SoP of our associations AND how to report on them.
